Unknown-1The Don Fox Scandal from Chepstow and Monmouth is a four man band of the most upbeat gypsy-swing lovin’ young gentlemen you’ve set your eyes upon. Always sighted in their dapper attire, never do they fail to get the crowds jumping to the thumping beats of their tunes – made up of the wondrous concoction of Ska, Gypsy-Swing, and Funk.

Inspired by 10 years on the road in Europe and North America, FolkLaws songs are a raw social commentary driven by the chaos of the lives we all lead. Inspirational songs and melodies cover subjects from politics and the environment, to relationships and love.

This dynamic band, led by the charismatic Michael Anton Phillips (Cheesy) has a pedigree second to none, whose members have worked with many reggae greats. The musicianship is flawless, with that irresistable reggae groove compelling you to move and the presence of Bob Marley himself invoked in the skilled and respectful portrayal by Michael.


1pm Coleford Community Choir

Unknown-2Coleford Community Choir is an exciting and thriving choir in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Formed in 2011 the Choir has gone from 12 members to almost 50. The Choir rehearses on a Wednesday at Coleford Baptist Church and spend a lot of their time laughing and having fun whilst making a fantastic sound.

‘Ruzz Guitar’s Blues Revue’ – A new powerful, Soul injected Blues/R’n’B/Rock’n’Roll band hailing from Bristol UK and lead by Gretsch endorsed guitarist Ruzz Guitar.
After taking inspiration from many great guitarists such as Wilko Johnson, Brian Setzer, Jim Heath and Jimmie Vaughan, Ruzz has developed what he has learnt into his own style which is quickly becoming recognized around the globe.ruzzAfter a few years of playing with multiple Blues and Rockabilly band’s from Bristol and Bath and playing all over the UK and Europe, Ruzz has decided to put together this Blues/R’n’B/Rock’n’Roll band to showcase his unique, multi-genre guitar playing and song writing. Joining forces with drummer Zachary Evans and upright bassist Joe Allen from Bristol, they come together to create the unique sound that is “Ruzz Guitar’s Blues Revue”.

We perform traditional African rhythms as a group through the use of African drums, traditional percussion and singing (in the native tongue, of course!) The fact that Billy Whizz have shared stages with Buzzcocks, Wilko Johnson, Neville Staple, Alabama 3 and The Rutles demonstrates that they are not to be pigeon-holed.
With dry wit packed lyrics, a driving rhythm section and choppy distorted guitars, the delivery is relentless high energy.
Despite being together for over 20 years, Billy Whizz have failed to slow down or grow up. They have just got tighter.
They are geared up for a series of festivals over the summer so now is the time to catch them on top form

afroclusterAfro Cluster are a Cardiff based band citing Fela Kuti, Snarky Puppy, Ozomatli, The Roots & Talking Heads amongst their influences. Together with front man MC Skunkadelic, they meld authentic sounds and rhythms of afro-funk and hip-hop with impassioned, politically conscious lyrics atop bold melodies, afro-beat aural acrobatics, rich harmonies and complex rhythms.

7pm Graveyard Johnnys

Unknown-3One of the most frantic and energetic live bands around today, Graveyard Johnnys mix the primitive rhythms and animal-instinct of 1950’s rockabilly with the aggression and passion of punk rock from back when it was dangerous.

8.15pm Mad Dog Mcrea

madMad Dog Mcrea raise hands, lift feet and start parties wherever they play with their dance-demanding recipe of folk, pop, rock, jazz and bluegrass. Whisking up whistles, fiddles and mandolins to spectacular and infectious effect, these musical magicians are synonymous not only with a damn good party but also with quality musicianship and the odd surprise.

Members past and present have also played with Groove Armada, Moroheeba, The Streets, Dub Pistols, Freestylers, The Heatwave, Mika, and also with numerous reggae artists out of Jamaica … the list is endless…
