How much does it cost to go to the Coleford Music Festival?
It’s absolutely free. This economic miracle is achieved with support from Coleford Town Council, other funders, income generated from exhibitors, caterers, official bars and sales of the festival programme. So, to keep the whole thing free, it would be great if you could buy a drink from an official bar, a bit of shopping from an exhibitor, food from one of our range of caterers and enjoy it all whilst reading a programme
When and where is this year’s festival?
The festival will take place on July 13th and 14th and is based around Coleford Town Centre.
What are the opening hours of the festival?
The festival has a programme of music starting on Saturday 13th, the festival opens at 1pm and runs until 11pm. On Sunday 14th the festival opens at 1pm and runs until 11pm
What is the provision for lost/found children?
The lost /found children point is situated at the festival first aid point. This is shown on the information map in the programme. If you have become separated from a member of your party, please notify a Steward (wearing high viz Security uniforms) who will contact our event control. If possible, leave a member of your party in the area where you last saw the person. It also helps if you write your mobile ‘phone number on your child’s hand – using semi-permanent ink!
CMF is a “glass free” Festival. Absolutely no glass will be allowed on to the Festival site. This will be STRICTLY adhered to and your bags may be searched. You may bring your own personal supply of alcohol with you but please decant anything in a glass container into plastic bottles before coming to the Festival. Anyone bringing glass bottles or containers will be asked to decant the liquid into plastic bottles before entering the Festival site. Alternatively there will be competitively priced bars on site. By buying from them you are helping to support the Festival.
The town centre is fairly flat so wheel chair access is available to all stages, there are disabled parking spaces available in the High Street which is accessible via the High Street barrier. Disabled toilets are also available onsite.
Recycling bins will be available for all the plastic!
Our aim is to make the Festival as environmentally friendly as possible. We have a team of litter pickers and recyclers but we rely on your help to make their jobs manageable. If you could do your bit by using the recycling bins and tidying up after yourselves, we’d be really grateful.
Can I bring my dog to the event?
Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control at all times, and please remember to clean up after them.
Where can I find a programme?
You can find the Festival programme at any of our official programme outlets dotted around the town & the Tourism Information Centre in Coleford. Please make a donation when you pick up your programme.
Why don’t we publish the official programme on the festival website?
The answer is simple, if we publish the entire programme then we lose a lot of money. It may sound harsh but it’s simple economics and we hope that you understand the reasons for maintaining this policy.
If I bring my bicycle to the event, where can I park?
There are dedicated lock up points in the town centre car parks. Please note that no security personnel will be situated in the designated area and bikes will be left at the owners’ risk.
