Foist Presents at Coleford Music Festival 2025
Foist Presents is a not for profit, voluntary music collective, whose primary aim is to showcase original live music in the Forest of Dean. Originally formed in 1989, Foist organised regular gigs at the old Community Centre in Coleford. These events ran until the summer of 1990 and featured live performances by bands such as EMF, Carter USM, Citizen Fish and the Moonflowers.
In 2023 Foist returned to promoting live music again, as it was recognised that there was a lack of opportunities for musicians to play original music in the Forest of Dean area. These evenings occur once a month at The Club in Newnham-on-Severn and provide local musicians the opportunity to share a stage with artists from the UK and further afield in front of a friendly and appreciative audience. The aim has been to provide an inclusive, safe space for live music enthusiasts. If this sounds like your kind of thing we would love to see you there in the near future.
Foist Presents are honoured to have been asked by Coleford Music Festival to showcase two of the bands who have already graced the stage in Newnham: Tower Harratz and The Forgetting Curve. We hope you enjoy these two exciting live acts, which will hopefully give you an idea of what Foist represents.
